March 2015 Favourites!

Hello everyone! It's that time of the month again, that's right it's my favourite products of this month. Personally, I love reading these posts because to be honest I like being nosey and seeing if there are any products worth trying out. Anyways, here are my top products of this month.

1. My first product is by Bed Head,it's the Ego Boost leave in conditioner. This has made it into the favourites because I loved the idea of having a conditioner which is constantly doing good for my hair. It also claims to help with split ends, which I would agree with as my hair has never felt or looked so good.

2. Next, is the MAC prep and prime in the yellow tone. I am currently on my second bottle of it as I love it that much. I like the fact that MAC have designed a primer which suits my skin tone and leaves my skin feeling so smooth and radiant.

3. This is another product by MAC. It's the Studio fix fluid foundation in the colour NC15. This is also another re-purchase as simply nothing compares to it. It matches my skin tone so well, where as many drug store foundations don't. Although it is a little pricey, it is definitely worth it.

4. So White by LUSH has been my shower gel this month and this has to be the best smelling gel in the world (apart from snow fairy of course!). It is a mixture of apples and roses. The roses are used to soothe the skin and calm the mind. Unfortunately this product was part of LUSH'S limited edition selection at Christmas, but I will be re-purchasing next year!

5. My last product in my faves is the Define and Conquer Contour Kit by Seventeen. I have just recently been experimenting with contouring and as I don't have enough confidence doing it yet, I wanted a kit that was inexpensive but worked well and this pallet fits that purpose.

Meet Roxie!

Hi everyone!
I'm incredibly sorry for not blogging in such a long time. I won't bore you guys and gals with excuses, but I'm back now!

Today I wanted to share with you all our new arrival to the family. This is Roxie, she is a 9 week old Akita puppy.
Akitas originate from the northern part of Japan and are notorious for their pointy ears and curled tail. When she is fully grown she will stand between 24-26 inches and weigh around 70-100 pounds. They are also well known to be used for guarding royalty in the past, as well as hunting wild boar, black bears and deer.

We are so excited to have her home now and cannot wait to see her grow and progress.

What are you up to this weekend?

Latest MAC Haul!

Hello everyone! How are you all?
This weather is just great at the moment & I hope all of you are enjoying it too. I'm going on holiday on the 2nd for around 17 days,so there might be some more breaks in my blogging again, sorry guys and gals!

Anyways, for today's post there is yet another MAC haul. Joys of having an outlet near me which happens to sell MAC means that I'm always popping in there. I also work in Marks & Spencer and the store I work in happens to be in the outlet too and sometimes other stores give you an extra 10% discount if you work in the centre and it just so happens that I cant get the extra 10% off in the make-up shop, yayay!

In this haul, I bought the three lipsticks and the eye shadow from the outlet but the eye shadow pallet I purchased online as there was a weekend where there was free delivery.

The haul!
Lovelorn.
So the first lipstick I picked up was in the Lustre finish and it's called Lovelorn. The picture doesn't do it much justice, as it is the most beautiful baby pink colour. It's a great lipstick to use on an everyday basis and I often use this for work now as it is not too bold. It feels really silky on the lips and it also lasts for ages!

So chaud

Next, I picked up the colour So Chaud in the Matte finish. This is a very vibrant orange toned red. I would say that it is very pigmented and it has a lovely creamy texture and doesn't dry out your lips at all!
Heavenly Hybrid.
The final lipstick I purchased is also in the Lustre finish and it's called Heavenly Hybrid. It's such a lovely deep purple but as it has the lustre finish it means that it is not too heavy on the lips which means that you can get away wearing this lipstick all year round.

Above picture shows swatches of the three lipsticks.
From top to bottom.. Heavenly Hybrid, Lovelorn & So Chaud.

I also purchased an eye shadow to start off my pallet. This is the most beautiful golden shade I have ever seen. It's called Retrospeck (swatch in the picture above). It shimmers at the all the right times and in most lights. A little bit of the product goes a long way!

Have you purchased anything from MAC lately?

Nivea's Express Hydration Primer - Review!

Hello my lovelies! How are you all?
I am aware it has been a while since my last post and I am so sorry! Things have been pretty hectic this month, as I have had lots of overtime at work and then I have just recently spent a week in hospital.

Anyways, for today's post I want to share with all you lovely people my love for this product by Nivea. It's their express hydration primer.
I have been after a primer for a while after finally using up all of my Baby Skin by Maybelline (review here). I simply could not justify £7.99 on a small primer again so I opted for this one by Nivea.

At the moment this product is on offer in Boots for £2.49 which I think is a complete bargain, especially if you are saving your pennies at the moment or are new to using a primer and want an inexpensive one to try. Normally this product would cost £4.99 which is still a really good price!

What I love about this product is that it is in a tub rather then a tube. As I sometimes find that with a tube you cannot always access all of the product which means that I end up cutting the tube open to scrape every last bit to get my moneys worth!
Am I the only one who does that?! Comment below if you do!
Anyway, with this primer being in a tub it means I can clearly see all of the product and use the amount I want to, as another problem with using a primer in a tube is that I sometime end up squeezing out too much!

The picture above shows what Nivea claims this product does and to be very honest I agree completely. This primer can be used just on its own or underneath make-up. I have to say that my skin has never felt so smooth or soft. It feels as if the product is actually nourishing my face rather than just sitting on top of it.

Overall, I would say that this product is great for people who are getting used to make-up and want a product which will look after your skin as well as providing a good, strong base for your make-up.

Have you tried this product? & What are your thoughts on Nivea as a brand?

Lush Face Mask Review!

Hello my lovelies! How are you all?
I had my last exam on Friday. I'm so relieved that all of my exams are over and I can now start to enjoy my summer! I have so many things to look forward to such as my birthday and my holiday etc.

Anyways, for today's post I thought I would do another Lush review, but this time it's on one of their face masks called Catastrophe Cosmetic.
It contains blueberries, calamine, chamomile, rose and almond oils which are all designed to calm and soothe the skin as it says on the Lush website (here).
Personally, I think it does exactly that. After using this product my skin feels so smooth like a baby's bottom haha! I also love the smell it has, as I think it has quite a neutral sent with a hint of blueberry.

Overall, I really like this product and it has effectively calmed all of the redness I had as well as combating some of the spot problems I've had.
I would recommend this product for someone who has sensitive skin and needs something to help tackle spot problems.

What do you have planned for your summer? & What's your favourite Lush product?

Current Everyday Make-up Look!

Hello everyone! How are you all?
I'm already having a busy week with work and revising for my last exam! Roll on Friday!

For today's post I would do an updated make-up routine, although,it tends to vary all the time.So start off my make-up, I like to prep my face with Rimmels Stay Matte primer. In the picture below I have the face and eye-shadow primer, which both make my skin feel super soft and it helps stop my face from getting too dry with foundation etc.

I then use Collection 2000's concealer to cover up any blemishes and dark circles under my eyes! I would really recommend this concealer as it has good coverage. I then apply Rimmels Match Perfection foundation in the shade ivory.

I then like to set my foundation and concealer with another Rimmel product. Rimmels Stay Matte powder in the shade transparent. I would honestly recommend Rimmels products as they are so affordable and also they are just simply amazing. I've been using Rimmel products since I was 13 and I always end up going back to them.

Next, is my eye shadow. It tends to change on a daily basis, but for today's look I've gone for one by Barry M and then on top I've used a colour crayon by MUA.

I then move on to do the rest of my eyes. At the moment I'm in love with the Thick and Fast mascara by Soap and Glory, it makes my eye lashes look so full and thick. I then use a Mac pencil eye liner on my water line and a Collection 2000 felt pen eye liner on the top of my lids. I also do my eyebrows then and I just use a light brown pencil by Rimmel.

And to top it all off,my current lipstick I'm loving for the summer is Rimmel's Colour Rush crayon.

Here is the look all put together!
